“Every Who
Down in Who-ville
Liked Christmas a lot…
But the Grinch,
Who lived just north of Who-ville,
Did NOT!”
That’s how the 5th day of Christmas book begins.
The book, of course, is How the Grinch Stole Christmas by Dr. Seuss.

I love Dr. Seuss. He has a unique way of telling humorous stories that teach a moral. To top it all off, the stories are told in rhyme. How talented is that?
In this story, the Grinch is a mean, greedy, crotchety, old grouch who tries to steal Christmas from the Whos in Who-ville. He disguises himself as Santa. He takes everything the Whos have. He forces his poor dog to pull a sleigh full of stolen goods that is 100 times his size up a mountain. He is simply one of the cruelest antagonists in young children’s literature that has ever been created. But there is hope for him.
Read the book to find out how the Whos react to his dastardly deeds plus a valuable lesson about Christmas.
