Whenever we need a quick meal, I just ask my oldest daughter to make her specialty: Japanese Stir-Fry.
It’s very quick and easy to put together. You don’t have to defrost any meat ahead of time. It just requires a little bit of chopping and a tad bit of frying and it’s done.
Easy as pie…err…I mean stir-fry.
You can serve it on a bed of white rice if you like. We usually eat it by itself since it is surprisingly filling.
This Japanese stir-fry is gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, and soy-free. (But it’s not taste-free 😉 )
Japanese Stir-Fry
Ingredients:
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 small or medium onion, diced
- 1/2 head of cabbage sliced into strips
- 1 6.4 oz. package of tuna
Directions:
Preheat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Saute diced onions for about 1 minute. Add sliced cabbage and fry until vegetables are tender. Stir in the tuna and cook for about a minute more.
Here is the finished Japanese Stir-Fry with a cat who is upset that he can’t have any.
Sorry Snowball. Not today.
Feel free to share this recipe with your friends and relatives, but don’t share it with your cats. 😉
