Today is the day you can exact revenge on your family for all of the hardships they have caused you.
Remember all those times when your kids misbehaved?
It’s payback time.
You can spend your day watching your kids scream, squirm, and squeal because of the April Fool’s Day jokes you play on them.
I have a few suggestions below that you may want to try. I created them just for you knowing that you might like to spice up your homeschool a bit today, because let’s admit it … God lets us be a little bit evil today for the sake of good humor.
Let’s enjoy it.
Homeschool April Fool’s Day Jokes
Switch Schoolwork
Put your 5 year old’s schoolwork on your 16 year old’s desk and vice versa. Hear them yell.
Hide Supplies
Pencils and pens have a way of disappearing on April Fool’s Day, don’t they?
Switch Drawers
Do you keep some of your homeschool materials in drawers? Switch the drawers. Confound your kids.
“Recess is cancelled.”
Oh my gosh. Watch them cry when you tell them that.
Double Duty
Assign your kids double the amount of schoolwork you normally do. That’s probably more painful than taking away recess.
Binder Switch
Do you use binders? Oh, the possibilities with those. Take the contents of one and switch them with those of another. Or switch the labels on them. Or change just the first few pages. Or…?
Chair Humor
This one is ancient. Probably goes back to Roman times. Put something like a whoopee cushion on a chair and watch everyone giggle.
Tamper With Time
Change the time on the clocks in your house and make everyone think they’re late.
“We ran out of ________”
Insert your children’s favorite food in the blank (in my case it would be coffee). Watch the tears start forming.
Okay. I’m done with my evilness for the year. I’ll go to confession later this week to purge my soul.
By the way, if you didn’t get to do all of the April Fool’s Day jokes on this page, bookmark it for next year. You can take pleasure in doing them then.
Thanks for linking up with us on the Hip Homeschool Hop! I enjoyed your post. I’ll have to keep some of these ideas in mind for next year.
