Do your kids want to learn astronomy?
If they do, you’re in luck. The internet has tons of resources for learning about outer space.
I have a list of some websites below that have everything from articles and pictures to interactive tours and printables. I think there’s enough stuff on these sites to teach your kids practically everything about the stars, planets, and other heavenly bodies. (Except angels. They forgot those!)

You could probably create your own solar system unit from the resources on these sites plus perhaps a few books like The Magic School Bus Lost in the Solar System and DK’s Space: A Visual Encyclopedia. Seriously, there’s gobs of stuff available for you to use!
So pull out your telescope, warm up your computer, and fire up your printer. Let’s take off into space with these sites.

Heavens Above: You’ll find helpful resources such as a sky chart, satellite database, and information on the moon and planets on this heavenly site. (But not angels. 🙁 )
StarDate: Get guides, lessons, and activities about astronomy here.
Stargazing Tonight: A guide to the night sky.
KidsAstronomy: This site has lots of games and resources for helping kids learn about astronomy.
Space.com: You’ll find lots of news articles and videos about space here.
Teach Astronomy: As the name suggests, this is a helpful website for teaching astronomy.
HubbleSite: You’ll find pictures, videos, and news related to the Hubble Space Telescope here.
National Geographic: This part of the National Geographic site is all about space.
The Planetary Society: This website has a resource library, space images, astronomy course, and kid section.

Jack Horkheimer: Star Gazer: You can see current and previous episodes of Star Gazer on this site.
Kids Cosmos: Kids will enjoy perusing this site full of information on the stars, moon, and planets.
Star Child: This is a learning center for young astronomers.
Space Audio: You can listen to space-related sounds on this website.
NASA: Find out about missions, watch videos, look at pictures, and more.
Space Wander: Take a virtual tour through space.
MetaPlanets: This site features 3D interactive models of the planets.
Sky and Telescope: You’ll find a list of resources for educators on this section of the Sky and Telescope website.
Jet Propulsion Laboratory: This NASA site has news, pictures, videos, and more.
IOP: This is the Institute of Physics site and it has astronomy and space videos your kids might like.
Science Spot: You’ll find links to astronomy printables and lessons here.
Enchanted Learning: You can find some wonderful printables for teaching astronomy here.
Montessori Nature: This post has a list of printable space-themed resources.
3 Boys and a Dog: This article has a list of free solar system activities and printables.
Coloring Castle: Get solar system coloring pages for your kids here.
A to Z Teacher Stuff: You’ll find a printable book about the solar system as well as other resources here.
Classroom Jr.: You can get a solar system mini-book and word puzzles on this page.
