If you have a child or teen who is learning to read music, I have some note name mnemonics that will help him out.
These mnemonics come in the form of acrostics for the most part. They cover the note names for four clefs: treble, bass, alto, and tenor. First the lines are taught, and then the spaces.
Here they are by clef.

Treble Clef
From bottom to top, the treble clef lines are E G B D F.
The well-known memory trick for this is:

And, if you haven’t already noticed, those letters spell FACE, which is the memory trick for the spaces.
Bass Clef
